March is Women’s History Month — a time to honor the trailblazers who have shaped our world. At Lime, we don’t have to look far to find inspiration. Every day, on stages across the globe and in our management offices, the women of the LimeFam are leading, creating, and inspiring.

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on the resilience, talent, and “sisterhood” that keep our performers spectacular and our community strong.

Empowerment in Every Role

The maritime and entertainment industries have evolved tremendously, and today, women are at the helm more than ever before. From band leaders and dance captains to cruise directors and the creative visionaries behind our casting, women are defining what it means to lead with both strength and empathy.

For a performer, seeing a woman in a leadership role—whether it’s the person calling the cues or the person managing the contract—creates a powerful ripple effect. It says, “There is a place for your ambition here.”

The Strength of the Sisterhood at Sea

Life on a ship is unique. You aren’t just colleagues; you are neighbors, confidantes, and family. We often hear stories of the “Sisterhood at Sea”—the way female performers support one another through the highs and lows of contract life.

Whether it’s helping a castmate master a difficult harmony, sharing tips on navigating life away from home, or simply being a listening ear after a long day of rehearsals, this mutual support is the “secret sauce” of a successful contract. When women lift each other up, the entire LimeFam rises.

Advice for the Next Generation of Performers

In honor of this month, we asked some of our seasoned Lime veterans what advice they would give to young women embarking on their first contract. Here are a few “pearls of wisdom”:

  • Own Your Space: Don’t be afraid to be the loudest voice or the strongest presence in the room. Your talent earned you that spot.
  • Invest in Each Other: Mentorship is a two-way street. Learn from the women who came before you and reach back to help those following in your footsteps.
  • Prioritize Your Wellness: Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Take care of your mental and physical health so you can keep doing what you love for years to come.

Let’s Celebrate Together

To all the women of the LimeFam: thank you for your passion, your grit, and your art. You aren’t just part of the show—you are the show.

Happy Women’s History Month!
